DHS releases new mandatory cybersecurity rules for pipelines after Colonial ransomware attack

The DHS’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has unveiled a new security directive forcing owners and operators of important pipelines to put more stringent cybersecurity protections in place. This is the organization’s second security directive and it applies to all TSA-designated critical pipelines that transport hazardous liquids and natural gas.
