Keybase browser extension brings encrypted messaging to social networks

Public encryption key database Keybase announced a Chrome extension Tuesday lends the service’s encryption tools to many of the most popular social networks including Twitter, which does not encrypt private messages, and Facebook, which requires users to opt-in to encryption. Created by two of the founders of SparkNotes and OkCupid, the service has built some of the most interesting encryption tools on the Internet.
