Unleash the AI! Google claims success with machine learning malware engines

In its ongoing quest to trap and kill Android malware, Google has turned to machine learning – and is reporting real success this year. Speaking at the Structure Security conference in San Francisco today, Adrian Ludwig, head of Android security at the ads giant, said the biz has been running years-worth of handset data and history through specific machine learning (ML) systems to identify the coding and behavior of malware.
